I'm back! My "break" was little longer than I originally planned. We finished up some adoption stuff (which feels great).It was pretty intense through Dec and part of Jan.Also, we've been talking about "Margin" at our church. Margin is the extra time,money,etc that you get to "play" with. It's doing something you want to do and not because you have to but because you have the extra time or money to do it. It's freeing your self up to have opportunities you might not have had before if you were too boggled down with appointments and bills.

I realized my life was out of balance. So, I've been spending the last few wks deciding what is most important. God, family, others, etc. It was good to take a break from blogging and decide if it would make the list...... It did:) (Just not higher up than my family). It's all about priorities. So, I "gave up" the blog for a short time but am ready to jump back in.

We've also been fasting for about 3 weeks on the Daniel Fast. This has been really eye opening because essentially we can't have any meat, sugar, dairy, bread, or caffeine. There is sugar in everything! Salad dressing, crackers...the stuff I eat everyday and didn't realize contained sugar! So, I haven't used coupons in (gasp!) 2 months! I've been totally out of the habit of shopping w/coupons. Partly due to the fact that January has been mostly about produce and beans, and partly because Dec. we went out of town and ate out way too much!!

I spent way more money on those 2 months. If you don't realize how much you are saving w/coupons, just take a shopping trip w/out them and you will see it clearly :) It really is just about a mindset and watching what you spend (and budgeting).

So, I'm back in full force! Ready to get back to my old routine of shopping and sharing all the great deals that I can find. THANK YOU for being so patient and sticking around. It's amazing how I feel like I have a relationship with my readers and I haven't met some of you in person, ever.

I'll be working on the Homeland deals today and should have them up by tonight so sit tight. It's going to be a good week of shopping there :)
